Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies organized a memorable cultural evening under the theme “Expressions” – Dance Forms of India, to the participants from Cornell, Clemson and Iowa Universities at VIIS on the 14th of June 2022.
        
        Accomplished artists from “Raasavrunda”, Mysuru showcased three classical dance forms of India, viz, Bharatha Natyam, Mohiniyattam and Kathak . Each presentation had a judicious mix of Nritya- the pure dance and Abhinaya - the story-telling and enacting the lyric.
        
        Dr Rohitha Eswer, Ms Nitya Shree Shetty and Ms Sri Krupa Performed on Bharatanatyam , kalamandalam Suchitra Anil Kumar on the Mohiniyattam and Ms Chinmayee bharadwaj on the Kathak , which received appreciation and applause from the distinguished audience.
        Sri Jayakumar, Managing Director, Travelparkz , Mysuru, graced the occasion as guest of honour.
