A two week program for 18 pre-med students of University of Minnesota was hosted from Dec 31 st
        2018 to Jan 13th 2019. The group was led by faculty members by Dr. Michael Rodger Wootten & Dr.
        Theang Ho, faculty members at Univ. of Minnesota. Pre Health Student Resource Centre of
        University of Minnesota has been partnering with VIIS for the last 8 years through this program. The
        objective of the program is to compare health and public health between India and United states
        and also understand social influences on health and medicine. Apart from the academic sessions on
        health care in India, NGO’s role in health care delivery, Bioethics and research to name a few, the
        students were taken for field visits to public and private hospitals and heritage sites.
