       India: Globalization, Development, and Leadership program was a faculty led course for the students of University of Nebraska, Lincoln . A group of 10 students was led by Dr. Radha Balasubramanian and Dr. Emira Ibrahimpasic for 2 weeks. Dr. Balasubramanian is Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Director of the Global Studies program. Dr. Ibrahimpasic is a trained cultural anthropologist and the coordinator/advisor for Global Studies, and has taught in various departments including Anthropology, Educational Psychology and Global Studies. The objective of the course was to distinguish between economic, political and ideological dimensions of globalization, and articulate an appreciation of the importance of historical, cultural and political perspective for understanding modern India. Apart from the classroom session, the group visited places both in the southern and northern parts of India, including Shravanabelagola, Bylakuppe, Ranagatittu followed by visits to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, and Ranthambore.
